Is the EnergyPod offshore approved?

Each component of the EnergyPod is made of offshore approved materials to withstand harsh weather conditions. EnergyPods that will be deployed offshore will also come with a DNV 2.7.1 and 2.7.2 certificate. This will allow the use of the EnergyPod for Zone 2 applications.

Do you deliver abroad?
Yes, Amphibious Energy delivers worldwide.
Does the EnergyPod only come with a 3kW generator?

No, the EnergyPod can also be delivered with a 5kW or 10kW generator.

How much energy does one EnergyPod generate?

This depends on the amount of wind at any given time. The minimum amount of energy generated by a 3kW generator is 3500 kWh in the Southern North Sea environment, which delivers 280W minimum continuous load. It also depends on the amount of batteries the EnergyPod contains to store the energy produced during peak wind times.

Can the EnergyPod also deliver peak load?

Yes, the EnergyPod can be configured to deliver either continuous load and/or peak load. Please contact us to discuss your load requirements.

How can we place an order?

Please contact us directly for more information on purchasing the EnergyPod.

How much does an EnergyPod cost?

Due to the configurability of each unit costs vary. Please contact us directly for more information on costs.

You said the that EnergyPod is configureable. What information would you require to configure the pod for its application?

To configure the most suitable generator for your needs we would need, if available, the following information:

  • Offshore or onshore use
  • Wind speed
  • Wind speed consistency
  • Location of use
  • Size restrictions
  • Load requirements (continuous or peak load system)
  • AC or DC requirements
  • Voltage requirements
Can you explain the EnergyPods maintenance schedule?

Each offshore EnergyPod will either have a one year or a two year maintenance interval depending on its use. Shorter intervals are recommended for systems that require regular peak load. It can also be scheduled with the operators maintenance interval for the topside. The EMS will also report what type of maintenance is required before each interval.

Can the operator perform the maintenance themselves?

Yes, with the purchase of an EnergyPod comes a one day training, which includes maintenance of the unit. In addition, Amphibious Energy will support and advice operators on maintenance timings and which parts need replacing prior to a maintenance interval.
