Amphibious Energy is proud to announce the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Wood’s EnergyPods. The two MonoPods were customised to meet Wood’s specific needs for a platform in the Central North Sea. Supporting the late life cycle of this asset, the autonomous EnergyPod provides continuous as well as peak load for all vital systems on-board the unmanned platform during the safe-making and disassembly process. It is designed to withstand the harsh offshore North Sea environment.
The self-sustainable unit includes remote monitoring of essential warning systems to ensure fulfilment of the obstruction marking obligations for all offshore installations. The MonoPods have now been manufactured, fully tested and will begin the journey to the topside for installation early 2020. The site installation and construction activities installation will be executed by our team in the UK in collaboration with Wood.
